It’s absolutely brilliant. It’s basically a modern retelling of the Jekyll and Hyde story. Moffat writes all the episodes. James Nesbitt does an astonishing job as Tom (Jekyll/Hyde). He looks like two completely different people when he changes. It’s just mindblowing. The plot is paced so well it feels like you’re watching one singular movie, not a mini series. But the way that they modernize the Jekyll/Hyde condition and how Tom deals with it is one of the highlights of the series imo. It shows just how much thought Moffat puts into every little detail. It’s fun, it’s demented, it’s creepy, it’s brilliant.
